About
A Journey from Loss to
Hope
In
our darkest moments,
we often feel that powerful call—a call that at first can seem utterly
impossible. It is a call to take up the cross and
follow Jesus in bringing messages of hope to those who are often
overlooked: the lost, the forgotten, the marginalized, and the
ignored.
(Romans 8:38-39)
In the
narrative of the Old Testament, Moses led the children of Israel out
of Egypt and through the wilderness. This wilderness was not merely
a desolate expanse but a crucible of hardship and growth. Here,
individuals faced trials that forged their character, shaping some
into leaders poised for the promises of God. Among them were Joshua
and Caleb, anointed by God to lead their people from the rigors of
the wilderness to the abundance of the Promised Land—a land flowing
with hope and prosperity.
Today, our world is filled with similar wildernesses—a metaphorical
terrain of despair and hardship where many lose their way. The
afflictions of modern life trap countless souls in cycles of
addiction, crime, and poverty. In the shadows of society, many are
forgotten, their potential stifled by their circumstances.
Joshua Ministries is born from a vision to revive these lost souls.
Inspired by the biblical story of Joshua, our mission is to lead the
marginalized from the despair of their personal wildernesses to the
Promised Land of their lives. Here, the Promised Land symbolizes a
life lived within the fullness of God's will—a life where despair is
transformed into triumph, and self-loathing into the dignity of
being a child of the King.
Ministry to the Marginalized
What can you do to help those who feel forgotten, alone, or
invisible in this world? We need to share the Good News with the most
vulnerable: such as, the homeless braving the harsh streets, the inmates
facing life sentences, the elderly in nursing homes forgotten by
their families.
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to
proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty
to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at
liberty those who are oppressed." (Luke 4:18)
This scripture embodies the mission about
acting as the hands and feet of Jesus in places where hope seemed
lost.
A Call to Action
If this stirs something in you, remember that
this call is for all of us. We are all called
in different ways to serve and uplift. Maybe you are being called to
support a ministry, or perhaps to start a new outreach program.
Whatever your calling, do not ignore it.
"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will
reap, if we do not give up." (Galatians 6:9)
Join us in making a difference. Your support can help us extend this
ministry to more people like Joshua, transforming despair into hope
and sorrow into joy. Together, we can continue to bring the light of
Christ into the darkest corners of the world.
No one is too lost to be
saved, and no place is too dark for the light of Christ to
penetrate. It’s a testament to the transformative power of faith and
the boundless grace of God.
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor
rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor
height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to
separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
